Ron and Tove had an 8mm film camera with them during the scooter adventure and took some colour footage. I'll be posting various clips here over time. Hopefully, I'll also be able to talk my Mom into doing a few interviews so you can hear her tell some stories in her own words! The Kickstarter Video

This is the video I made for the Kickstarter campaign to crowd-fund the publication of my book entitled "The Scooter Diaries" about my parents' adventure romance through Latin America on a motor scooter in 1960.

The Restoration of the Famous Lambretta

On Saturday, September 21, I visited my cousin Fred in North Gower, Ontario, Canada where he told the story of how he came to own the soon-to-be most famous scooter in the world -- the '58 Lambretta 150ld that my parents, Ron and Tove Bowman, rode from Canada to Peru in 1959 - 1960.

Interview with Adventuress Tove Bowman

I wanted to do an interview with my Mom, Tove Bowman, to talk about her famous 1959 - 1960 adventure down to South America on a '58 Lambretta 150ld scooter with my Dad, Ron Bowman, as chronicled in the book "The Scooter Diaries".

Sitting Down With Tove Bowman

I was visiting my Mom last weekend for Canadian Thanksgiving and decided to sit down and chat about her scooter adventure from Canada to Peru in 1959 - 1960, while my daughter video-recorded it. I intended it to be just 5 minutes or so, but we got talking and the stories started flowing...

Back on November 27, before the books arrived at my door, CTV News Ottawa's "Regional Contact", Joel Haslam, interviewed me about The Scooter Diaries. Joel is a great guy and it was a really fun experience. This video segment appeared on CTV News Ottawa (CJOH) on Friday, January 10. Click the picture above to watch it.

I am pleased to announce that the world's most famous Lambretta lives again. Its restoration is complete and it is purring like a kitten. To commemorate its reawakening, please enjoy this video containing never-before-seen footage of its life from 1959 to present day. Be sure to watch right to the end for a special announcement!
